FLAT EARTH THEORY

 

It is the idea that the Earth is flat rather than round or spherical. According to this theory, the Earth is a flat disk or plane, with the North Pole at the center and the continents and oceans spread out around it.

This theory is in direct contrast to the scientific consensus that the Earth is an oblate spheroid, which has been well-established through a variety of scientific evidence and observation.

Proponents of the Flat Earth Theory argue that visual and sensory evidence supports their belief, claiming that the Earth appears flat and motionless from our perspective.

However, this is a misconception that can be explained by the curvature of the Earth being so slight that it is difficult to perceive with the naked eye.

The Flat Earth Theory has been thoroughly debunked by modern science, and is not accepted as a legitimate scientific theory. Nevertheless, it continues to attract a small but vocal following, who reject the evidence and arguments presented by the scientific community.
